Fees, Payment, and Cancellation Policy

​​Fees for psychological assessment and treatment are based on the recommendations of the Association of Psychologists of Nova Scotia (APNS). Click here for more information.


Psychological services rendered by a registered psychologist are covered by most extended health insurance plans. Contact your insurance provider to gain more information regarding your coverage and procedures. Psychological services are currently not covered by Nova Scotia Medical Services Insurance (i.e., MSI health card). 

CAF, VAC and RCMP case workers are welcome to contact us to coordinate assessments and treatments. 

Payment is required at the outset of the appointment. Accepted methods of payment include cash, e-transfer, cheque, or credit card. Psychological services are HST-exempt. Receipts are provided. Fees paid for psychological services are a tax-deductible medical expense that can be claimed on your income tax returns.

Twenty-four hours noticed is required for cancellations. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are subject to the full fee.
